long ago, I drew attention to the fact that the larger models do better as the prefabs, but small models with fine detail (ie more rounded shape in model (where required) - better using other a 3D editor.
but I also noticed that sometimes it can cause difficulty in converting from *.3DS *.max, *.obj, *.mdl, *.mdx, *.md3 or format others 3d files.
I once tried. I did a primitive model and saved it in a file - *.obj and then opened in the Blender (in advance, I set CoD_xmodel plug-in for convert in *xmodel *)
the result: the blender was not able to convert the most basic model. The reasons I do not understand.
and in one moment I left the idea create their models than I was confused.
But now, I understand that other people do it somehow. Why they can do it but i do not?
because just I need a good, step by step (that step by step) guide: what, where to write and what, which pressing a button.
because I realize that I can create models only if this know.
I will have a clear instruction.

    Smile

just in future, i think to create a models series for map for an atmosphere and environment map.

I think about 5-10 models (possibly).
different peasant household items, different tools work, winter peasant shoes,
different russian stoves type, a lot of different items (not large models).
