CoD1 + CoD2 decompiled SP + MP map sources
CoDUtility,

I hereby present you our efforts for the last year. CoDEmanX and I decompiled these CoD1+2 MP+SP map sources, and you can use it for your remake(s)!

Using our decompiler, these sources were decompiled from the original BSP files
of CoD1 and CoD2. These sources can be used to build maps for CoD.

Each .map source from a decompiled BSP file, looks like this:
- it exports all brushes
- it exports all triangles (terrain, patches, brushes)
- it exports all entities (spawns, lights, models, ...)
- triangles are caulked
- brushes, triangles and entities are in different layers of the .map
- these map source can be opened in CoD1 / 2? / 4 / 5 Radiant

What needs to be done for a full remake:
- retexturing all brushes
- replacing all models
- recreating all terrain and patches using the triangles
- adding portals
- checking all CoD version specific stuff (such as lightgrid etc.)
- at final, removing all triangles (make sure they're not compiled!)
- adding new gametypes, adding more detail, vision files, checking spawns, etc.

Ignore the following warning: "Removed duplicate faces from brush", this is
because we do not rebuild brushes like Radiant does. After a map save this
should be solved.

When using these map sources, please emphasize that you used our decompiled
sources, either put a link to a post about the tool / about us, or put our names
in.

hi using cod4 radiant and on almost all of the maps when i try to open them all i get is out of memory now i wasnt expecting that since i have 8gb of RAM and 1gb of VRAM any one know what to do?

Seems it is already in the make so it,s going to be tankhunt

The out of memory has to do with the patches there all splitup ...

Also meanly sp maps are full of stuff too

Delete and redo them ,also hear about welding them again not shure.....

Ok what am I missing here are you guys offering the de-compiler or just the maps?? If just the maps are or can you de-compile maps by request?? because there are some maps that are almost perfect just lacking a little here and there type thing.. and I am totally interested in fixing them.

No we will not, as this will promote map stealing or unauthorized releasing / non-creditting.

The decompiler is 100 kB, so these packs of >100 MB are the maps .
