Here's first pic of my map mp_Arnhem. Still lots to build, retexture, adding detail and tweaking but it,s a start. The map is build from real life photos from that time September 1944.

Still some issues with light and textures but starting slowly to add models and detail....

Any advice on how to make the streets more interesting are welcome.

looks awesome so far. when your looking at it, the roads are perfect. look at any street and you'll see they twist up and down, and left and right. adding some slopes and dips will go a long way. depending were in the world the map is will dictate how the city was layed out. So try and match it to the area. say Vancouver Canada is relatively new, so roads are very straight, but if you look in cities in the UK there roads go all over mainly because the roads and shops have been built at vastily different times, with different materials etc. flat spots are OK, but there should not be to long of a straight road either. the road needs to be broken up, slight curve and height as well. then just fix the side walks to follow the road and the buildings can be added to on the lower slope sides. even a dip of 64 units could go a long way to breaking up the eye line. I hope this make sense. Regardless what you decide to do, it's looking great, and I can't wait to see more. Keep it up 8~)

Thanks and it make sense but Arnhem being a Dutch town it is a bit flat not much slopes hills or even mountain... But going to try the rest of the advice

whatever works, makes slopes 24 or 16 units then, but changing elevation even slightly, can go a long way. And again it's all just an opinion :)
